Tactile Shelter is a one-of-one wearable work built from layers of color, texture, fiber, and accumulated material. Its densely constructed surface creates a soft, cushioned form intended not only to be seen, but to be touched and experienced.
The work invites multiple forms of use. Worn as a cuff, it can become a discreet source of tactile comfort—a soft, snug object carried on the body while remaining visually and materially an artwork. It may also serve as a pin cushion for a maker, or take on another function entirely according to the needs and imagination of its owner.
As with many KAMILLEON works, participation is part of the object. The work is not prescribed a single way of being used; its owner becomes part of determining what it can do and what it can become.
