Confluence is a one-of-one wearable work constructed through the accumulation and intertwining of linear elements. Mother-of-pearl, glass beads, and simulated pearls move through cotton-blend thread, creating a shifting, sculptural form that changes in relationship to the body.
The work is intentionally open to change. Its length and configuration can be adjusted, allowing the wearer to slide and rearrange its elements and alter the way the work sits, moves, and is experienced.
As with many KAMILLEON works, participation is part of the object. The owner is invited to play with its possibilities—to shift, adjust, and recompose the work according to their own body, needs, and aesthetic. In use, the work becomes partly authored by its owner.
Each KAMILLEON work is made individually; no work is replicated.
